With Salon Iris, you have two choices on how to process credit cards:

1) Integrated Into Salon Iris
The first way you can process credit cards with Salon Iris, is to use our integrated credit card processing.  You purchase a credit card reader from us that hooks to your keyboard (or you can purchase a reader built into your keyboard).  Then, you swipe the credit card, and Salon Iris automatically reads it, processes it, and the money is deposited directly into your bank account.  To use the integrated credit card processing, you must use Global as your merchant account provider.  For more information, you can contact Bill C. at 1-800-217-3927.

With the Salon Iris salon software fully integrated credit card processing, setup is easy. Usage is easier. While using Salon Iris, simply swipe any major credit card through the reader (provided by us) and the rest is handled automatically.

Requirements
We supply the credit card reading hardware and credit card processing account. In addition, we recommend having the following hardware:
Modem (US Robotics) and phone line or Internet connection
Receipt printer (Epson T88III, Epson U220, or Epson U200)
 

The modem and receipt printer can be purchased directly from us.

2) Through Any Merchant You Choose
The second way to process credit cards with Salon Iris salon software is through any merchant you choose.  The credit card would be swiped and processed separately through an independent credit card machine.  Then, a record of the credit card transaction is hand entered into Salon Iris.  Salon Iris salon software Totals reports will show how much your business has done in credit card transactions.  Some of our businesses choose to process credit cards this way because they may have
already signed a credit card processing contract with another company.  We do recommend that you consider the integrated credit card processing with Salon Iris, explained above.
